Welcome to DhairyaDa Center for Psychological Well-Being (referred to as "Company," "we," "us," or "our").

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our mental health services and website (collectively referred to as the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

1. Informed consent: A client has every right to understand the process of therapy, therapies used, duration, time and any queries regarding the therapeutic alliance. It is the client’s prerogative to continue or stop therapy when they want.

2. Confidentiality: A client-therapist session is purely confidential unless the information needs to be shared with a supervisor for guidance or for preventive measures with legal sources, in terms of self-harm or danger to others. Some aspects of your treatment model might be shared anonymously with trainee psychologists to help them learn; however complete care will be taken to maintain confidentiality of your identity and your personal details. An adult client’s confidentiality is a paramount rule of practice and will not be broken unless warranted for above reasons. To maintain the confidentiality from both, the client’s side, as well as the therapist’s side, pictures and recording of the session, in any form is strictly prohibited.

3. Responsibility: A therapist’s role is complicated but the goal is simple: to bring in personal growth. Therapy is a two-way process and a client holds an equal accountability in a therapy setting. The therapist shall not be responsible for any actions a client takes that are considered harmful. The onus of a client’s actions and personality lies with themselves. To maintain the ethics and decorum of a session, any type of intoxication, from both the parties involved, is not allowed. We acknowledge that the therapeutic experience can vary from person to person; however, dissatisfaction with the sessions does not qualify for a refund of the sessions that have been completed.

4. Technical Factors: Data security and privacy is of utmost importance to us, and we make every effort to provide a stable and secure session experience. In a rare instance, if a data breach occurs due to a third party platform, the third party platform is beyond our control, and we are not responsible for the breach in itself. That being said, we have taken precautionary measures from our end, in terms of privacy and security, to safeguard your data.

5. Boundaries: Therapeutic relationships are formal relationships with a set goal. A therapist is not liable to be there for a client 24/7. In case of need, a therapist provides emergency ways of sustenance, in the form of emergency helplines and nearby hospitals, till the issue can be resolved in the next session. This also provides a scope for real growth and less dependency.

6. Payment: Since a counselling session is an appointment-based system, it is mandatory to book the session with payment beforehand. For online sessions, the payment needs to be made 24 hours prior to the slot to confirm the session. For offline sessions, the payment needs to be made at least 48 hours prior to the slot to confirm the session. The necessary steps in booking a slot will be explained by the respective therapist. Payment Validity- We request that sessions be scheduled within 2 weeks of payment. If a session isn’t taken during this time, it may be considered completed. However, if the therapist is unavailable in that period, the payment will be carried forward to a later date.

7. Cancellation: For any on-time cancellation (24-hours before the session), no refund will be provided. In case of sickness, a request to reschedule will be considered (ONLY ONCE). A no-show is counted as a completed session. A no- show is considered, when the client does not join the session, within the first 25 minutes of the slot. This step ensures value to a therapist’s time and efforts. In case of any on- time cancellation from a therapist due to emergency on their part, an earliest slot will be assigned and the session will be rescheduled. No additional fee will be incurred, the previous fees will be carry forwarded.

8. Timing:  Any counselling session lasts between 45-60 minutes. If due to any reason a client is late, the scheduled time will not extend the decided slot time.

9. Referrals: If a therapeutic relationship does not seem to work due to personal or professional reasons, informed client referrals help the client seek the right support which is a therapist’s responsibility. In case the symptoms are intensive and the therapist thinks another specialist from the field will be more suitable to deal with the present symptoms, the therapist will refer the client ahead. This always will be informed to the client first, as the goal is to help the client better.
