Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”
– Charles R. Swindoll

While we don’t have 100% control over our lives, I think that we do have 100% control over our choices and actions. I strongly believe that our perceptions, beliefs and choices shape our lives and at any point in time we have the choice to work on ourselves, heal, and change our lives for the better. If you are making the choice to work on yourself and heal through therapy, I’ll be right by your side through this journey. :)
Nishita Vaswani
My work as a therapist is grounded in creating a space where clients feel free to show up as their full selves—whether that means being messy, vulnerable, proud, confused, angry, or deeply emotional. I believe that therapy is most powerful when clients feel safe enough to bring every part of who they are into the therapy session.
My approaches to therapy are mindful and flexible by adapting my role to the needs of each client. At times, I help clients slow down and uncover insights; at other times, I support them in exploring new perspectives, weighing possibilities, and making thoughtful choices. This approach allows me to meet my clients exactly where they are.
My practice is rooted in client-centered therapy, while also integrating evidence-based techniques to ensure that our sessions are both compassionate and effective. At the heart of my work I support clients in making sense of their experiences, deepening their self-awareness, and building lives that feel authentic and meaningful to them.

WHO AM I?
.jpeg)
As a person, I am much like anyone else, with my own mix of perspectives, beliefs, and experiences that make me who I am. I describe myself as hopeful, kind, and compassionate, but also realistic about life. I know from my own experiences that life is not always easy or fair. It has its bright, colorful moments, but it also brings challenges, uncertainties, and grey areas that we all have to navigate. Having lived through my own share of ups and downs, I carry a sense of maturity and groundedness into the way I see the world. These experiences shape not only who I am, but also how I genuinely connect with others in an empathetic way.

I work as a therapist, and a big part of what I do is helping people make sense of their thoughts and feelings, and supporting them as they find ways to cope and grow. Alongside therapy, I also teach psychology and train future therapists, which gives me the opportunity to share knowledge, mentor future professionals, and contribute to the field in a meaningful way. I do all this simply because I want to make a positive difference in people’s lives and, in my own way, make the world a little better place.
Outside of work, I love doing garba, crocheting, reading, and experimenting with different forms of art and craft. These hobbies bring me joy, creativity, and balance, and they remind me to keep space for playfulness and curiosity in life.

For me, life is a mix of both challenges and joys. At times, it can feel tough, complex, uncertain, or unfair, and at other times it can be kind, fulfilling, beautiful, and full of unexpected opportunities. I believe our perspective shifts with the phase of life we're in-and that's completely natural. My own approach is to take life one moment, one step, and one day at a time.

“The therapy session was better than I expected, and I was able to open up quite freely to share my thoughts. The therapist made me feel pretty comfortable in the session.
"I've been on this path of self-love and development since 2020 and I've always wanted someone to help me through with it, and these sessions are helping a lot. She listens to me. I feel heard, even if I mention any small detail she makes sure to hear me properly and provides me with a different and newer perspective."
"Please please more than an hour session because 1 hour is not sufficient for venting my heart out and listening to your lovely words and motivation :("
"Good morning Nishita. You have been very supportive of me and I really appreciate it. I am grateful that you were a part of my journey. I hope we continue our sessions in the future too. Thank you for your blessings."
"I’ve been taking sessions with Ms. Nishita for a while now, and it has been a truly positive experience. She has been of real help to me, guiding me in the right direction with a lot of patience and understanding. Her approach has given me clarity and made it easier for me to work on myself. "Today's session felt different because we talked so much about the nuances of relationships and men and women are wired differently. I also realised that I am the one who can believe in myself whenever self doubt creeps in. I think I am ready to deal with things and accept joy in my life. Today's session felt like a tight hug from you to me"
"The sessions with Nishita was highly interactive and incredibly useful. She shared valuable ideas, such as taking 5-minute breaks after every 30 minutes of work, maintaining work-life balance by setting boundaries, prioritizing tasks, using an Excel tracker for weekly planning, and ensuring clarity with management to avoid unnecessary work.
I felt comfortable discussing various aspects with Nishita, and her active listening and thoughtful guidance were truly commendable. I am grateful for her insights and look forward to more such sessions. Thank you to Nishita and your team for this wonderful support☺️🙏"
